三重県の鳥羽水族館で、さわれそうな距離で囲いもない水槽を泳ぐ数羽のフンボルトペンギンに出会いました。その時の水面をゆっくり泳いでいる愛らしいペンギンをイメージしました。くちばしと水かきの足の角度を工夫しました。【1-16-19-0811】
I met several Humboldt penguins at the Toba Aquarium in Mie Prefecture. They were swimming at a distance likely to be touched in a tank with no fence. I have imagined this lovely penguin swimming comfortably on the surface of the water. And I have devised the shape of a beak and the angle of the web.
